From a bathroom product manufacturer, the directors wanted a luxurious and private directors suite retreat away from their main business to focus on strategic objectives.
The office space settled upon had the right footprint but lots of partitions and very little natural light. Also, the lease was due to expire in 5 years time and it needed to be straightforward to return the space back to it’s former state.
With interior styling to reflect Intatec’s branding, Accolade created a director’s suite with individual directors offices, a central hot desking space and a boardroom. The Italian veneer executive desks, matching furniture and boardroom table featured cherry red lacquer and matching red leather boardroom chairs providing a harmonious discord to the post-box red cut pile carpet. The linen feature wallpaper and neutral Humanscale Freedom Chairs provide a soft backdrop to the red design features in the director’s suite.
To maximise natural light and the feeling of space, demountable glazed partition screens offer a discreet division – they will be easy to remove at the end of the lease. Lighting spots throughout create a bright and fresh working environment when required and a feature light over the boardroom table highlight draws the eye to the stunning table.
Other practical features include integrated fridges in the boardroom and office preventing the need for a separate tea point. In the hot desks, practical cable management with in-desk power allows for easy connection for touch down workers. A cable route cut through the concrete from the table to the large format screen offers tidy cable management in the boardroom. Accolade also created a custom door in matching veneer to screen off a server unit and provide more storage.
