The brief: delivering a phased transformation across a live operational site
Reckitt Benckiser recognised the need to make significant upgrades to welfare and support spaces across their site, improving both staff experience and the overall working environment. However, with multiple areas requiring attention, the challenge was knowing where to begin and how to deliver improvements without disrupting day-to-day operations.
Accolade Workspace worked closely with the client team to develop a phased programme of works, allowing refurbishment projects to be prioritised and delivered in manageable stages. This approach enabled meaningful improvements to be made quickly, while maintaining flexibility around operational requirements.

The aim was to transform tired, dated areas into clean, modern and welcoming environments that staff would feel comfortable using every day — all while working safely within a live manufacturing environment.
The solution

The Aerosol toilets were fully refurbished to create bright, modern facilities that are durable, easy to maintain and significantly more pleasant to use. New finishes, sanitaryware and lighting helped transform the look and feel of the spaces.
The small canteen was refreshed to provide a cleaner, more inviting environment where staff can take breaks and recharge. Layout, finishes and lighting were improved to create a space that feels functional, comfortable and welcoming.
The PPE room was transformed into a clearer, more organised and professional environment, improving both usability and presentation.
All works were delivered by Accolade Workspace’s in-house team, with careful coordination to minimise disruption and maintain high safety standards on site. Clear communication and a collaborative approach have been key throughout multiple projects at the site.
The Outcome
The refurbished spaces represent a significant transformation from their previous condition, improving both appearance and user experience across essential staff facilities.
Just as importantly, the success of these projects has strengthened an ongoing working relationship, with Accolade Workspace now having delivered five projects on site, and more planned.
